Melissanthe (Μελισσάνθη)

Melissanthi, whose name comes from the words bee + anthos  and means “bee of flowers”, was famous for her beauty and unsurpassed charm. Melissanthe was named after her aunt Melissanthe of Retel, queen of Jerusalem.

(Η Μελισσάνθη της οποίας το όνομα προέρχεται από τις λέξεις μέλλισα + άνθος και σημαίνει “μέλλισα των ανθέων”, ήταν  ξακουστή για την ομορφιά και την αξεπέραστη γοητεία της. Η Μελισσάνθη έλαβε το όνομα της θείας της Μελισσάνθης των Ρετέλ βασίλισσας της Ιερουσαλήμ.)
